Biography
College: Placed 14th in discus throw and fourth in shot put at the 2011 NWC Championships...transferred from St. Martin's University, where he competed for the track & field team in 2008...played football at PLU in 2008...first year with the PLU track team was 2010...top thrower for the Lutes in 2010...registered a shot put of 46-11 3/4 at 2010 Mt. Hood Twilight meet.
High School: Placed second in shot put at state meet as a junior...placed first at the state meet his senior year...track team captain...lettered in football and was named all-state as an offensive and defensive lineman for 2006 season...started in 2007 East vs. West All-State football game.
Personal: Majoring in movement studies...born Feb. 15, 1989...father is Greg Vavricka...chose to attend PLU for "small class sizes."
