Dustin Prater joined the PLU Softball program in early 2021 as a Volunteer Assistant Coach.
Prior to PLU, Prater worked at the club level, developing players with the Washington Pride and the Sundodgers softball club. Prater also has coaching experience at the high school level, working with the varsity and junior varsity programs at Steilacoom High School.
Prater enjoys challenging, inspiring, and motivating athletes to perform at their highest level, on and off the field. Prater holds an associate degree from Pierce College and a Law and Justice degree from Central Washington University. Prater has worked as a professional law enforcement officer since 2000.
