Biography

College: Played and started in 26 matches in 2012...led the team in blocks with 124 total, 1.35 average per set...was second on the team in kills, 230 total, 2.50 average per set...earned Second Team All-American honors...AVCA All-Region first team honors...Northwest Conference first team honors...Led the team, NWC, West Region and nation in blocks per set with 1.54 during 2011 season...compiled 142 total blocks (20 solo blocks, 122 block assists)...Played in all 27 matches as a sophomore...earned Honorable Mention All-NWC and Honorable Mention All-West Region recognition...averaged 2.21 kills per set with 203 total kills and a .280 hitting percentage...Played in 20 matches in her first season with the Lutes...recorded 61 total kills, good for 1.15 kills per set...her .220 kill percentage ranked her fourth on the team.

High School: Honorable mention all-league at Kamiakin HS in 2010...helped Kamiakin to a second-place state finish in 2008...fifth in regionals in 2009.

Personal: Majoring in biology and minoring in mathematics and religion...daughter of Mark and Debbie Huston...family includes older sister Amy...chose to come to PLU because of the "good academic scholarship and good volleyball program."
