Kylai Cooley joined the PLU volleyball coaching staff as an assistant prior to the 2019 season. 

Cooley was a member of the Lute volleyball team during the 2014 and 2015 seasons, earning Honorable Mention All-NWC accolades in 2014. During her time on campus, the Lutes compiled a 29-12 record, including a 26-6 mark in NWC play, winning the conference title and making an appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2014.

Prior to PLU, Cooley was a standout at Bellevue College, earning First Team All-NWAACC North honors in 2013 and Second Team All-NWAACC North accolades in 2012.
