Aaron Barber joins the PLU coaching staff as an assistant and the recruiting coordinator prior to the 2026 season after a standout career as a player for the Lute baseball program.

Barber played three seasons for the Lutes after stops at Everett Community College and Division I Virginia Commonwealth University. While at PLU, Barber played in 113 games, boasting a .328 batting average with 76 RBIs and 34 extra base hits. Barber was virtually impossible to strikeout as a Lute, netting just 26 strikeouts over 511 plate appearances. Barber was a two-time First Team All-Northwest Conference selection (2024 & 2025) while earning Honorable Mention All-Conference in 2023. 

Barber also spent time in the prestigious West Coast League, playing for the Bend Elks and later the Portland Pickles where he helped win the league title in the summer of 2024.Â
