A PLU alum, Alex Dassoff joins the PLU Athletic Training Staff prior to the 2019-2020 academic year as an assistant athletic trainer.
Dassoff joins the Lutes after spending the previous year at ATI Physical Therapy where he served as Head Athletic Trainer at Clover Park High School. Prior to that, Dassoff spent five months as an athletic training student with the Pac 12's University of Southern California, working with the baseball program. He was an athletic training student for the NFL's Los Angeles Chargers during the 2017 season and was an intern with USA Volleyball during the spring and summer of 2017.
Dassoff had stints as an athletic training student at both Godinez Fundamental High School (Santa Ana, Calif.) and Santiago Canyon College (Calif.) during the 2016-2017 academic year and was an intern with the Tacoma Rainiers, the AAA affiliate of the Seattle Mariners during the 2015 season.
Dassoff graduated from PLU with a degree in kinesiology in 2015. While at PLU he was a member of the men's swimming team. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Athletic Training at Chapman University in 2018.
