A PLU alum, Arvid Isaksen joined the Pacific Lutheran men's basketball coaching staff prior to the 2015-16 season. 

The Lutes had a breakout season in Isaksen's first year with the team, helping the squad compile a 17-10 overall record and advancing to the NWC Championship game for the first time since 1998.

Prior to PLU, Isaksen was a graduate assistant at the University of Washington during the 2014-2015 season, assisting the Huskies in scouting reports, video breakdown, recruiting projects, player development, and operational duties.

Following graduation from PLU, Isaksen earned his Master's in sports management from University of Washington, where he assisted Lorenzo Romar and Brad Jackson with scouting reports, video breakdown, recruiting projects, player development and operational duties for the UW men's basketball program. He also worked with the Seattle Storm as a practice player and personnel scout.

Isaksen was a four-year letterwinner at PLU, earning the Frosty Westering Award and graduating in 2014. While at PLU, Isaksen served as a practice player and a personnel scout for the WNBA's Seattle Storm.

Isaksen resides in Tacoma with his wife Amy.
