Daryl Martin joined the PLU coaching staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2026-2027 academic year.

A local standout, Martin was a two-time WIAA 4A state champion as a member of the Bellarmine Prep 4x400-meter relay team, and was a three-time state finalist in the 800-meters and 1,600-meters. Martin also finished eighth at the 2012 WIAA 4A Cross Country Championships. 
 
She continued her running career a Division I University of San Francisco where she ran track & field and cross country all four years for the Dons. Martin competed all four years at the West Coast Conference Cross Country Championships, finishing 25^th as a senior in 2016 while racing at the 2015 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Kentucky, helping USF finish 28^th as a team. 

Martin graduated from San Francisco with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in neuroscience.
