Martha Mendenhall

Martha Mendenhall rejoined the Pacific Lutheran track and fieldcoaching staff in 2013 after previously coaching four seasons forthe Lutes (2005-06, 2009-10). She is USATF Level 2 Certified InJumps and also has experience in sprints/sprint mechanics andhurdle technique.

Mendenhall's coaching experience spans more than 20 years, andincludes 13 years at Bellarmine Prep High School in Tacoma, Wash.,where she coached a number of state qualifiers in high jump andsprints, including 1998 state champion high jumper Sarah Farr.

Mendenhall has competed in track and field all of her life andhas been a member of the USA Masters track and field team since1992. She most recently competed in October of 2014 in Brazil. Shehas won three World Championships and is a 14-time NationalChampion.

Martha lives in Tacoma with her husband, Patrick, and has threedaughters, Claire, Grace and Hannah, and two grandchildren, Violetand Cash.
