Zack Losack was named the Lutes' head strength & conditioning coach/fitness center coordinator in the summer of 2023.

Losack returns to the Pacific Northwest after spending the past academic year as a graduate assistant at Division I Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts. While with the Warriors, Losack served as the primary strength coach for the field hockey team, men's and women's sprinters and jumpers, and was the secondary coach for the women's ice hockey team. 
 
Prior to Merrimack, Losack worked as a tactical strength and conditioning coach at nearby Joint Base Lewis-McChord. In that role, Losack was responsible for the physical training program for a mechanized infantry battalion of 822 soldiers, and was the lead physical trainer for soldiers entering Army Ranger Assessment and Selection Program (RASP) and Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS) programs. 
 
Losack additionally has experience working as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Waldorf University (Iowa) and as the head strength coach for the football program at Northwest Conference rival University of Puget Sound. He additionally has intern experience working with the Olympic sports at Puget Sound and with the football program at the University of Washington. 
 
Losack earned a degree in exercise science from Puget Sound where he was a member of the Logger football team. He plans on completing his master's degree in exercise and sport science from Merrimack this spring. 
 
Losack is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) through NSCA.
