Olivia Cattau joins the PLU coaching staff prior to the 2022 season and currently works with Lute High Jumpers and Combined Event athletes.
Cattau comes from Ingraham High School in Seattle Washington coaching High Jump. She qualified three athletes to the culminating event during the COVID seasons and one All-Metro League athlete. She also coached cross country before joining the Lutes.
Cattau competed for the University of Chicago in the heptathlon and the 400 meter hurdles from 2014-2018, earning a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Sciences. She was an NCAA national qualifier in the heptathlon and the 4x400m in 2017 and holds a UChicago all-time top 5 record in the 100mH, 400mH, Heptathlon and 4x400m relay. She earned USTFCCCA All-Region and Academic-All American in the outdoor heptathlon. She also served as a captain of both her High School and College teams.
She is currently a graduate student at the University of Washington in the School of Aquatic and Fisheries Sciences.
