Courtney Eronemo starts her first season as a Pacific LutheranUniversity swimming team assistant coach.

Eronemo competed in the 2004 (age 16) and 2008 U.S. OlympicTrials (age 20) in 200 and 400 individual medley and in the100 butterfly. She swam at the University of California-Berkeleywhere she was a member of a NCAA Division I national championshipteam.

Prior to her collegiate career, the Washington statenative was a five-time state champion in five differentindividual events (200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 100backstroke, 100 butterfly, 200 individual medley) forKentwood High School.   

While injured in 2008, Eronemo took on more of a managerialrole for Cal’s swim team for part of the season. Through thatexperience, she found a new area of the sport to enjoy. Thatrole, along with competing, created an appreciation for all aspectsof the sport. As a result she is excited to take on a coachingrole at PLU.
