Pacific Lutheran University Athletics

John Cassens joined the Pacific Lutheran athletic staff as head coach of the men's tennis team in October 2014. He was the men's and women's tennis coach at Seattle University from 1994 until 1999, and he has been the tennis coach at Decatur High School in Federal Way since 2006. He has more than 30 years of experience in the tennis industry, serving as a tennis director at Lakewood Racket Club, Bally Total Fitness and Edgebrook Club in Bellevue at various points since 1989.

Cassens has a Bachelor of Sociology from Illinois State University and is certified through the United States Professional Tennis Association.
