For the third time this fall and the second time in as many weeks, Pacific Lutheran University libero Halle Hetzler is the Northwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
 
The Kailua, Hawaii native had 23 digs, three assists, and one kill in a 3-1 setback against the University of Puget Sound on Wednesday before netting 13 digs and two assists in a 3-0 sweep of host George Fox University on Saturday evening. Hetzler currently leads the NWC in digs, averaging 5.5 per set.
 
This is the third time this fall Hetzler has been recognized for her defensive prowess, also earning the honor on Oct. 18 and Sept. 20 while Emily Dulaney was the NWC Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 11.
