The Northwest Conference released its weekly award winners on Monday with Pacific Lutheran University baseball student-athlete Jordan Haworth landing NWC Hitter of the Week accolades.
 
The sophomore from Gig Harbor, Washington had a big series against 23^rd-ranked Texas Lutheran University, finishing the trip to the Lone Star State with a .600 batting average with four extra base hits and six RBIs. Haworth additionally scored three runs and stole one base to help the Lutes (4-6) split the four-game series.
 
Haworth is the third Lute to earn NWC Player of the Week honors this season with Dominick Zombik earning NWC Hitter of the Week on Feb. 17 while reliever Alex Gregory was tabbed as the NWC Pitcher of the Week the same day.
 
The Lutes are back on the diamond on Saturday, resuming NWC play by hosting crosstown rival University of Puget Sound in the home opener. First pitch In Saturday's twinbill at PLU Field is set for 11 a.m.
