LEWISTON, Idaho - Pacific Lutheran saw its 2013 baseball season come to a close with a 10-1 loss to host Lewis-Clark State College in the final game of the Inland Cellular Baseball Tournament at Harris Field.
The Lutes ended the season with a 22-18 overall record while NAIA national power Lewis-Clark State improved to 40-13.
Collin Nilson provided the offense for the Lutes with a solo homer to lead off the seventh inning. He had three of the Lutes' six hits in the game, and the home run was his second in three tournament games.
The Warriors scored four runs in both the fourth and eighth innings. They finished the game with 10 hits and also made the most of three Pacific Lutheran errors, which accounted for four unearned runs.
Max Beatty took the loss, allowing six runs, though only two were earned, on nine hits in seven innings of work. He struck out nine batters and walked just one.
