Complete D3Baseball Team of the Week

TACOMA, Wash. – An unstoppable weekend at the plate has earned Pacific Lutheran University baseball student-athlete Jacob Bockelie national recognition, earning a spot on Tuesday to D3baseball.com's Team of the Week.

Bockelie earns a spot on the week six team as an outfielder and is one of 14 student-athletes from across NCAA Division III to make the squad. The Shoreline, Washington native finished the weekend series against Whitworth University hitting .750 at the plate, helping the Lutes (12-8, 10-2 Northwest Conference) sweep the series to snag first place in the NWC standings.

The NWC Hitter of the Week the past two weeks, Bockelie hit a walkoff home run in the 13th inning against the Pirates to open the series, giving PLU the 6-5 win. The outfielder was four-for-four in game two of the series, a 15-9 win, before notching three walks and a hit in a 6-2 victory over Whitworth. His week included an impressive .824 on-base percentage with three RBIs and four runs scored to extend the Lute winning streak to seven games.

The Lutes return to the diamond later today, facing the University of Puget Sound at 3:30 p.m.
