WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Zak Gregg tallied a pair of second half goals, helping the Pacific Lutheran University men's soccer team rally for the 3-1 victory over host Whitman College in a Northwest Conference clash on Sunday afternoon.

The host Blues drew first blood with Jourdan Furukawa scoring in the 20th minute. Whitman would enjoy playing with the lead until the 51st minute when a Gregg tallied his first goal off a feed from
Jackson Moore. Moore would connect with Gregg again just 14 minutes later, netting what proved to be the game winner in the 64th minute. The goal was Gregg's team-leading ninth of the season.

Keeton Heggerness added an insurance score in the 71st minute, his eighth goal of the year off an assist from
Rainier Schlekewey.Â
"We had a bit of a slow start and there were definitely some things in the game that we saw that we know we could do better," said Head Coach
John Yorke. "We had a good opportunity at halftime to talk about those things and the guys made good mental and physical adjustments and I thought we were very good in the second half. They showed a lot of courage in the second half. Overall, I'm very proud of our two performances this weekend."

Cole Weaver made two saves in goal for the Lutes, logging all 90 minutes between the posts while the Blues' Owen Davis-Bower made three saves and allowed three goals.

The Lutes are back on the pitch on Saturday, hosting Linfield College at 12 p.m. at East Field in the first of three consecutive home games.Â
