NEWBERG, Ore. – The Pacific Lutheran University women's basketball team was unable to keep pace with No. 21 George Fox University on Friday night.  The Bruins put the clamps on the Lutes defensively, holding them to just 25 points on the evening as they claimed a 59-25 Northwest Conference victory.

PLU (9-11, 4-7 NWC) made just three field goals in the first half and had just 10 points at halftime as the Bruins built a 26-10 advantage.  The Lutes managed 11 points in the third quarter, but George Fox increased its lead to 22.

For the game, the Lutes were held to just 13.6 percent shooting from the field and committed 28 turnovers.  George Fox also controlled things on the backboard, producing a 44-30 rebounding margin.
