Northwest Conference Fan Attendance Policy

TACOMA, Wash. - With the outdoor sports of football and soccer beginning this weekend, Pacific Lutheran University parents, family, friends, and fans are reminded that no spectators are allowed at any events during the 2020-2021 academic year as part of the Northwest Conference Return to Play plan.

The NWC and PLU are committed to taking necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Lute fans will not be permitted to congregate outside the fence line to watch games while on campus property. All campus visitors must comply with the university's visitor policies.

"Even though the Puget Sound Region has advanced to Phase 2 of the State of Washington's reopening plan, we will continue to follow NWC Return to Play Guidelines which prohibit fan attendance for the remainder of the academic year," said interim Athletic Director Jen Thomas.

"While I recognize our parents, families and friends want to be present to support our student-athletes in person at our competitions, we must keep the health and safety of our athletes at the forefront of everything we do. I look forward to the day when we can invite everyone back to our competitions, but in the meantime I encourage our fans to watch the streams of our competitions and to join the 'Cutout Kingdom.'"

Fans can watch the games online at GoLutes.com/livestream. Fans can additionally get involved in the gameday experience by joining LanceLute's Cutout Kingdom and purchasing a fan cutout that will attend home sporting events. For more info visit GoLutes.com/cutout
