WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Maddie Landreth had two goals and
Tasha Tennyson two assists as the Pacific Lutheran women's soccer team rolled to a 5-0 win at Whitman College in Walla Walla.
Landreth scored less than 90 seconds into the match and again in the 11th minute, setting the tone for the afternoon. The Lutes (3-3-1) out shot the Blues 27-2, including 11-1 on goal.
Ellie Johnson scored unassisted in the 47th minute, while Tennyson then recorded her assists on goals by
Vera Panescu-Reich in the 84th and
Vivian Shinall in the 89th.
Ashton Huppert started in goal for the Lutes and didn't face a shot on frame.
Calie Rose played the final 27 minutes, making one save.
The offensive outburst was more goals than the Lutes had on the season and marked their fourth shutout overall.
PLU returns home to host Whitworth University on March 13 and 14. Both games will be at 11 a.m.
