Baseball Hosts Alumni & Friends Golf Outing on Sept. 24

TACOMA, Wash. - The Pacific Lutheran University baseball program will be trading in its bats for clubs on September 24th, hosting the first ever PLU Baseball Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament at Oakbrook Golf Course.
 
The Lutes will welcome decades of baseball alumni and program supporters together to raise funds for PLU baseball's Lute Club. Funds raised from the event will support program travel, equipment, and recruiting to keep the Lutes as one of the top programs in the Pacific Northwest.
 
Entry to the golf outing is $150 per person and includes pre-round snacks, a round of golf, and dinner and awards. Individuals and companies can additionally sponsor a hole at $250 per hole. 
 
Check in on Friday, Sept. 24 begins at 12 p.m. with Pre-Tournament contests getting underway at 12:30 p.m. There will be a 1 p.m. shotgun start with dinner and awards starting around 5 p.m.

The 2021 Lutes finished the year with a 26-17 record, qualifying for the Northwest Conference Tournament for a league record sixth consecutive season. PLU additionally excelled in the classroom, capturing the American Baseball Coaches Association's Team Academic Excellence Award.
