TACOMA, Wash. — Malia Wisham won an individual event and was on a winning relay on Friday night as the Pacific Lutheran University women's swimming team suffered a 134-63 setback to Linfield University in a Northwest Conference dual meet at the PLU Pool.
Wisham posted a win in the 500-yard freestyle relay, touching the wall in five minutes, 18.01 seconds to win the event by over 14 seconds. That momentum carried over to the final event of the night with Wisham and teammates
Sidney Chan-Orcutt,
Jersey Razzano, and
Annika Eisele winning the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:55.07.
Makenzie Chan-Orcutt was runner-up in a pair of events, clocking a time of 59.72 in the 100-yard freestyle before posting a 2:36.09 in the 200-yard breaststroke. Eisele was second in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:17.65 while the Lutes' 400-medley relay team was second in 4:15.48.
PLU (1-2) is back in action tomorrow, hosting Lewis & Clark at 1 p.m. in the final NWC dual meet until January.
