Box Score TACOMA, Wash. – The Pacific Lutheran University women's basketball team struggled to keep pace with the vaunted pressure by the University of Puget Sound. The Loggers defeated the Lutes 83-50 on Tuesday night inside Olson Gymnasium.
PLU (6-16, 3-12 NWC) committed 30 turnovers, which led to 32 points for the visitors. PLU struggled from the field as well, making just 31 percent of their attempts, and were just 3-for-24 from the three-point line. PLU was also outrebounded 49-21 by the Loggers.
Josie Napoli had 10 points to pace the Lutes and
Kasidy Javernick chipped in nine. On the glass,
Stacie Spahr led the way with eight boards. Defensively,
Mady Simmelink was active with three steals.
The Lutes will close the season on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. when they host Linfield University.
