HILLSBORO, Ore. - Ten members of the Pacific Lutheran University baseball squad earned postseason hardware on Tuesday, securing All-Northwest Conference accolades.

Andy Schmitz and
Spencer Howell headline the award winners, both securing First Team honors while
Jordan Haworth,
Tommy Snyder, and
Noah Ferguson landed Second Team All-NWC.
Cole Trotignon,
Braeden Lundberg,
Tori Doten,
John Graham, and
Alex Gregory round out the Lute award winners, all securing Honorable Mention status.

Schmitz lands First Team accolades as an outfielder. The senior from Aurora, Oregon led the Lutes at the plate with a .356 batting average and a .427 on-base percentage. An Honorable Mention All-NWC pick in 2021, Schmitz scored a team-high 32 runs this spring with 21 RBIs and 16 extra base hits.

Howell joins Schmitz as a First Team selection, earning a spot as a starting pitcher. The Auburn, Washington native had a 7-1 record on the mound with two complete games and a 2.34 earned run average. The righthander was second on the team in innings pitched with 69 1/3 and had 54 strikeouts.

Haworth earns Second Team status as a third basemen. A First Team All-NWC selection last spring, the Gig Harbor, Washington native boasted a .302 batting average with 30 RBIs. Haworth had a team best 13 stolen bases while collecting 20 extra base hits, including five home runs.Â

Snyder earns Second Team All-NWC honors as a starting pitcher. The Vancouver, Washington native made 13 starts this spring, owning a 5-2 record with a team-high 64 strikeouts.Â

Ferguson is the third Lute on the Second Team, earning a spot as a reliever. The Salem, Oregon native made 16 appearances on the hill, owning a 4-1 record with four saves. Ferguson was third on the team in strikeouts with 50 punchouts on the season.

Trotignon earns Honorable Mention status at first base. The Kent, Washington native was First Team All-NWC last spring. Trotignon started all 37 games and had a .333 batting average with a team-high 37 RBIs and seven home runs. In addition to playing first, Trotignon made 10 starts on the mound for the Lutes.

Lundberg secures Honorable Mention honors in his first season at PLU. The Gig Harbor, Washington native played in 36 of the team's 37 games with a .275 average with seven doubles and 15 RBIs.

Doten lands Honorable Mention All-NWC at shortstop. The Salem, Oregon native started every game and is hitting at a .313 clip with 22 RBIs and 31 runs scored.Â

Graham tallies Honorable Mention All-League as a utility player. The Seattle, Washington native spent time as a designated hitter and in the outfield. A transfer from University of Northern Colorado, Graham made 16 starts and boasted a .359 batting average with 14 RBIs and eight extra base hits.Â

Gregory secures Honorable Mention All-Conference as a reliever. An Honorable Mention selection last season, the Seattle, Washington native made 16 appearances and had 30 strikeouts in just 28 1/3 innings of work.

The Lutes (21-16, 13-11 NWC) close out the season this week, facing crosstown nemesis University of Puget Sound on Thursday night at Cheney Stadium before playing two home games on Saturday to close out the year.Â
