NEWBERG, Ore. — The Pacific Lutheran University men's swimming team remained undefeated in Northwest Conference dual meets on Saturday, winning nine of the 11 events in a 110-93 victory over host George Fox University.
Â
Tyler Tanaka and
Khosbayar Amgalan headlined the day, both winning a trio of events while
Dylan Dang and
Devin Stanley both won a pair of events.
"This week's dual meet against George Fox was an absolute dog fight," said Head Coach
Andrew Lum.
"The Bruins came out swinging hard from the get go, but the Lutes took all that they had and delivered! We gutted out some close touch-out finishes, and really persevered as a team when we found ourselves in the thick of it. We're very pleased and proud of the way the team worked together through adversity against a quality George Fox program! We look forward to competing with them, Willamette, and Pacific in a couple of weeks at the Bruin Invite."

Tanaka's day started with an easy win the 1,650-yard freestyle, finishing over 22 seconds ahead of the rest of the field after touching the wall in 18 minutes, 19.90 seconds.
