TACOMA, Wash. — D3football.com released its first round of postseason award winners on Wednesday with Pacific Lutheran University defensive end
Nico Golla landing First Team All-Region 6 accolades.
Golla is one of 13 student-athletes from Region 6 to be recognized as First Team Defense. A First Team All-NWC selection, Golla had an elite season for the Lutes (5-5, 4-3 NWC), ranking ninth nationally in sacks at the end of the regular season and 14th in NCAA Division III in tackles for loss. The Puyallup, Washington native finished the season with 11.5 sacks and 19 TFLs while making 54 tackles on the season, including 31 solo takedowns. A total of 189 players were nominated for All-Region 6 which includes the NWC along with the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC), Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC), and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).Â
