Official CSC Release

TACOMA, Wash. - Five Pacific Lutheran University softball student-athletes were recognized for their efforts on the diamond and in the classroom on Tuesday, earning Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators (CSC).

Cailey Collado, Mari Foster, Erin McGrath, Rylie Wada, and Casey Wright were the five Lutes to secure the award and were among the 20 student-athletes from the Northwest Conference to be recognized.

To be eligible, student-athletes needed a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and be a starter or an important reserve that has appeared in at least 50 percent of the team's games.

All five Lutes recognized earned All-Conference from the NWC this spring. Wada was tabbed First Team All-NWC while Foster, McGrath, and Wright were all Second Team All-League selections. Collado was named Honorable Mention All-NWC.

PLU wrapped up the 2023 season with a 27-16 overall record and an 18-10 mark in league action.
