"Proud of the team for competing on a Sunday in the Northwest Conference, it's never an easy task. Linfield's got a lot of pride and fought hard. It was a physical game and was 1-0 for most of it. It was a grind and I'm proud of the players. They kept battling and had a couple late goals to seal it," said Head Coach
Seth Spidahl.Â
"Anytime we can go to Oregon and get two wins that's always a good weekend overall. There's still a lot to work on, the potential of this group is very high. We're not quite where we want to be yet but that's okay, we have a lot of soccer left to play."
Â
PLU outshot Linfield 17-5 during the game, including a 6-4 edge in shots on target.Â
Â
The Lutes hit the road again next weekend, facing Lewis & Clark College on Saturday in Portland, Oregon. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m.
