TACOMA, Wash. — The Pacific Lutheran University women's swimming team wrapped up its dual meet slate on Saturday afternoon, winning six events in a 122-100 setback to crosstown rival University of Puget Sound.
Five of PLU's six event wins came from the 2024 senior class that was swimming in their final home meet of their careers.
"It's always an electric and dynamic competition with our cross town rivals UPS! We had some phenomenal throwdowns, showdowns, and everything in between with the Loggers! What a way to conclude our regular season!," said Head Coach
Andrew Lum.
"It's an especially meaningful meet because we honored our exuberant, passionate, and loving seniors. Words wouldn't do justice to their leadership, mentorship, and commitment they've dedicated to this program. We hope we lived up to the billing today to show a sliver of what they mean to us. We love our seniors, and are STOKED to give them a proper send-off at our Championships in a couple of weeks. GO LUTES!"
