Molly House headlined the Lutes honorees, each earning a chance to take home Academic All-America honors at a later date. Sophomore
Rachel Treves and senior
Rylie Wada rounded out the honorees for PLU in CSC's latest release.
Wright, a native of Federal Way, Washington recently graduated from the Luteball program, after spending all four seasons donning the black and gold. The First Team All-Conference catcher appeared in 157 games, making 154 starts, while slashing .342 in her career. Wright graduated with her bachelors degree in Nursing last week inside Olson Gymnasium. Notching exactly 500 at-bats, the catcher racked up 171 hits, 30 doubles, 28 home runs, and 125 runs batted in. Wright has been a three-time All-Conference honoree for the Lutes thanks to not only her bat, but also her strong defense behind the dish; adding a .962 fielding percentage for her career.

Molly House will look to add Academic All-American to her already impressive resume in the coming weeks. House made her presence felt at the plate and inside the circle as a two-way player for the Lutes in three of her four year career. The First baseman totaled a .280 batting average over 109 games played while adding 67 hits, 10 doubles, 11 home runs, and 49 runs batted in. 2024 was House's best season of her career, starting in all 43 games for the Lutes while pitching in 10 games. House held a 5.75 career ERA in 81.1 innings pitched and held a 4-1 record inside the circle in the 2024 season. The senior graduated with her degree in Gender, Sexuality, and Race Studies, while also earning a minor in Native American and Indigenous studies during her time in Tacoma. House, also the President for the PLU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, was the voice for all Lute student-athletes during her final year on campus.
Rylie Wada earned her Nursing degree from PLU this past week, but also adds the Academic All-District nod to her PLU resume. A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Wada started in 42 games during the 2024 season, slashing an impressive .322 with 91 hits, 11 doubles, two home runs, and 43 runs batted in. Earning First Team All-Conference honors at the utility position, Wada could be found defending second and third base throughout the season, maintaining a .942 fielding percentage. Wada was a consisent force in the Lutes lineup, as she struck out only four times this season, and just 14 times in 283 at-bats in her four year career.
Bellevue, Washington native
Rachel Treves added her first Academic All-District honor on Tuesday as just a sophomore. As a pitcher, Treves made 20 appearances this season, with five coming in complete game-fashion. Treves also studies Nursing on the PLU campus, maintaining a strong grade point average while boasting a 4.87 earned run average. The Lutes pitcher went 4-5 this season in 77.2 innings pitched, striking out 33 while walking 19. This was Treves first full season in the black and gold, as she looks to remain a force on the mound for the Lutes in future seasons.
