HILLSBORO, Ore. — The Northwest Conference doled out its Player of the Week awards on Monday with Pacific Lutheran University men's basketball student-athlete
Charlie Kapranos winning the honor after a career game in the Lutes' home opener.
The Portland, Oregon native had his first career double-double in PLU's 72-58 victory over Pomona-Pitzer Colleges on Friday night inside Olson Gymnasium. Kapranos scored a career-high 29 point along with a career-high 11 rebounds, also finishing with two steals, two assists, and a block. The sophomore shot 10-for-18 from the floor, draining three treys, and was a perfect six-for-six at the charity stripe.
Through the opening three games of the season, Kapranos is averaging 14.0 points per game and a team-best 7.7 rebounds per game, shooting 50.0 percent from the floor.
