HILLSBORO, Ore. --Â
Dom Perasso matched a career-high scoring output in a road win last week and on Monday was honored for his efforts, securing Northwest Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season.
The Stockton, California native led the Lutes and tied a career-high after dropping 21 points in a wild 77-73 road victory over in-state nemesis The Evergreen State College. Perasso had eight rebounds, shot 50 percent from the field, and was perfect at the free throw line, helping PLU extend its winning streak to four games.
This is the second time this year Perasso has been recognized and the third time a Lute has won the honor. Perasso was previously tagged NWC Player of the Week on Nov. 10 while
Charlie Kapranos was the weekly winner on Nov. 17.
The Lutes (4-2) are back on the hardwood on Friday evening, hosting Warner Pacific University. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
