Official NWC Release

HILLSBORO, Ore. — The Northwest Conference office released its All-Conference winners for the sport of men's cross country on Wednesday with Pacific Lutheran University's Kai Sorensen securing Third Team honors.

The Sacramento, California native lands All-Conference status in cross country for the first time in his career after placing 14th overall on Saturday's NWC Championships held at the PLU Meadows Course. Sorensen navigated the waterlogged 8,000-meter course in 26 minutes, 17.5 seconds and was the lone Lute to finish inside the top 15. The senior's finish was a 10 place improvement from the 2024 campaign when he placed 24th overall.

The NWC's All-Conference team consisted of five First Team selections, five Second Team selections, and five Third Team selections.

Sorensen and the Lutes return to action on Saturday, Nov. 15, racing at the NCAA West Region Championships.
