BRIGANTINE, N.J. --- The Pacific Lutheran University Women's Rowing team spent spring break on the east coast, opening up the trip with a small meet with the Stockton University Ospreys. The Lutes competed in three races, including an untimed 500-meter sprint.

Leading the first varsity boat, with coxswain
Louisa Compton,
Riah Heil,
Kennadi Jones,
Kat Judd,
Tate Trahan,
Carleigh Templin,
Ashley Teague,
Adia Carei, and
Makayla Hall, came in third behind Catholic and Stockton. The boat crossed the finish line with a time of 6:22.5, their fastest of the season.

Sareena Dhaliwal,
Maddie Anderson,
Sophia Pancoast,
Mackenzie Poppe,
Suzie Roberts,
Sage Miller,
Sylvie Manz, and
Abby Andrews, finished behind the Ospreys, running a time of 7:24.00.

To close out the New Jersey opener on Friday, an untimed 500-meter race was "Fast, fun, racing!" said Head Coach
Matt Oclander. All off the crews in the shortened race finished simultaneously.

The Lutes get back out on the Brigantine tomorrow morning, as they will compete in the Battle at Brigantine hosted by Stockton, for their final races of the east coast swing.
