HILLSBORO, Ore. --- Pacific Lutheran University's women's rowing team defended their title from last week, earning their second consecutive Northwest Conference Crew of the Week honor, and their third this season.

Makayla Hall, led the first varsity boat to a first place finish in the B Finals at the Battle at Brigantine last weekend in New Jersey.

The Lutes ran a time of 7:15.14 in their first heat of the morning, taking third in their heat behind Catholic and Jefferson. The team returned for the Petite Final later Saturday morning, beating out Franklin and Marshall for first in the race, with a time of 8:38.80.

The Lutes get back out on the water this weekend in Vancouver, Wash., as they will compete at the Pio-Pilot Invitational hosted by Lewis & Clark College on Saturday morning.
