TACOMA, Wash.--- The Pacific Lutheran University women's lacrosse team (1-14, 0-8 NWC) celebrated six seniors on Sunday at East Field prior to the final game of the Lutes inaugural season. The Whitworth Pirates (7-7, 4-4 NWC) took down the Lutes, 18-1.

PLU Women's Lacrosse said farewell to six seniors from the inaugural season on Sunday, those who helped build the framework for a brand-new varsity program.

Holland Jones, Veronica Cardenas Yanez,
Annie Latimer, and
Brandie Tobin. These six Lutes were accompanied by family, friends, and their teammates at the center of East Field prior to the final game of their PLU careers.

With the final game of the inaugural season underway, the Lutes first shot attempt came with 2:04 remaining in the first quarter, as Alldredge's attempt was caught by the Whitworth goalkeeper; at this time, the Lutes were trailing the Pirates early, 7-0. PLU's offense was unable to gain momentum in the second quarter, where they could not get a shot off, as Whitworth led 13-0 at the break.

In the final five minutes of the third quarter, the Lutes fired three shot attempts, with
Brandie Tobin leading the way with just her second shot of the season missing the target high. Alldredge and
Issabella Marchio also fired shots on target, but both were just stopped by the Pirates in net.

Alldredge ended the scoring drought though in the fourth, with 5:07 remaining she took back-to-back shots, with the latter finding the lower left portion of the goal; ending the Pirates hopes for a shutout, as the game ended 18-1.

Alldredge took four of the Lutes eight total shots in the game, with three on-goal, and one finding the back of the net late in the fourth. She also picked up a team-high four ground balls, while
Katrina Moran caused four turnovers in the defensive zone. Diller made 10 saves in the crease for the Lutes, facing a total of 36 shots.

The Lutes inaugural season comes to a close.
Taylee Alldredge was the Lutes leading goal scorer, notching 26 scores out of the 57 the Lutes scored in 15 games this season. She also led the team in points (29), shots (55), ground balls (46), caused turnovers (20). In goal for the Lutes all season long,
Kassie Diller made 166 saves on 520 shots faced in over 885-minutes played.
