SALEM, Ore. — Sydney Reisner tallied 19 points on the road but a big first quarter ultimately derailed the Pacific Lutheran University women's basketblall team on Friday night, suffering an 80-61 setback to host Willamette University in a Northwest Conference showdown inside the Cone Feld House.

Emi Wada layup tied the game in the first quarter but the host Bearcats (5-8, 2-2 NWC) pulled away in the final four minutes, scoring the final 13 points of the frame to seize the lead. Willamette led by at least nine the rest of the day, enjoying a 47-34 halftime edge en route to the win on Friday night.
"Credit to Willamette who shot lights out tonight. We gave them too many early attempts and they made us pay," said Head Coach
Lee Aduddell.Â
"Emi had a great game as a point guard, dishing out seven assists with zero turnovers. A stellar outing as a point guard."
Reisner finished with 19 points, canning four treys and shooting seven-for-15 from the floor.
Lilli Williams added 11 points and six boards while Wada had seven points and seven assists.
Kylie Griffin led the Lutes on the glass, racking up eight rebounds.
Pacific Lutheran (1-12, 0-4 NWC) shot a blazing 81.8 percent (nine-for-11) in the second quarter but was unable to carry that over the entire game, ending the contest shooting at a 36.7 percent clip (22-for-60).Â
The Lutes are back at home next Friday, hosting Pacific University at 5:30 p.m.
