Official NWC Release

HILLSBORO, Ore. — The Northwest Conference released its postseason award winners for the sport of men's basketball on Friday with Pacific Lutheran University's Ben Tellez securing Second Team All-Conference accolades.

The senior from Concord, California is one of 15 student-athletes to make the All-Conference squad which is split up into a First, Second, and Third Team, each comprised of five student-athletes.

Tellez started all 25 games this season for the Lutes, averaging 31 minutes per game. The Californian averaged 18.0 points per game this year along with 3.8 rebounds per game and 2.0 assists per game. Tellez was a sharpshooter this winter, draining 73 threes on the season and shooting at a 42.7 percent clip from distance. That includes draining a school single game record 12 threes in a blowout win at Pacific University on Feb. 14.

Tellez had a dominant finish to the season, scoring at least 19 points in his final 11 games of the season, including a career-high 40 point effort against Pacific. The guard ranked sixth in the NWC in scoring but ranked third in the conference in scoring during conference play, averaging 19.6 points per game.

PLU wrapped up the 2025-2026 season with an 11-14 overall record and a 5-11 mark in NWC play.
