FOREST GROVE, Ore.— Kassie Diller notched her 200th career save for the Pacific Lutheran University women's lacrosse team in a non-conference defeat to the host Pacific University Boxers, falling 17-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Diller, a junior from Grand Ledge, Michigan continues to write the records for PLU in it's second year as a program, is averaging 10.2 saves per game in her career.
"You know some days you're the windshield and some days you're the bug," Head Coach
Melanie Rizzotti reflected. "It's what you do after a game like this that matters most and we are hungry to continue to work. Kassie hit a career milestone today and continues to be out anchor on defense. We can always count on her to show up for her team and make big plays for us."
The Lutes traveled on the road for their first road trip of their 2026 campaign. Both teams started off with strong defensive stands in the midfield trying to navigate and gain possession. The Boxers would apply real pressure on the Lutes defensive line and put up many looks early and often scoring first and never looking back.
Taylee Alldredge and
Gracie Cecka efforts in the midfield helped to slow down the Boxers potent attack. Alldredge would finish with four ground balls and three cause turnovers. Cecka also collected three grounds and caused one turnover.
In the circle,
Paige Hackman led the way winning three draw controls.
The Lutes will return to action on Saturday, March 14th as they take on Linfield Univetsity. Opening draw is set for 1 PM.
