HILLSBORO, Ore. — Pacific Lutheran University women's track & field student-athlete
Ki Neir's winning performance in the pole vault has earned the sophomore recognition from the Northwest Conference office, securing NWC Field Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon.
The Yelm, Washington native cleared an outdoor season-best 11 feet, 5 ¼ inches on Saturday in Ellensburg, Washington to win the pole vault at the Wildcat Invitational. Neir was almost one foot better than the runner-up and finished above three Division II competitors from host Central Washington University.
Neir and the Lutes are back in action on April 17 for day one of Lewis & Clark College's Larry Byerly Invitational.
