TACOMA, Wash. — The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its postseason awards Friday afternoon, with two members of the Pacific Lutheran University softball team earning First Team All-Region X honors.
Paige Wilson and Paola Garcia were among seven Northwest Conference student-athletes recognized by the NFCA. A total of 36 players earned All-Region X honors, including 13 First Team selections, 12 Second Team selections and 11 Third Team selections.
Wilson earned First Team All-Region honors as a pitcher after a dominant junior campaign. The Carlsbad, California, native collected All-Region recognition for the first time in her career after also being named Northwest Conference Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-NWC.
Wilson finished second in the conference in both wins (21) and ERA (2.29), helping lead the Lutes to one of the top seasons in program history.
Garcia secured First Team All-Region honors as an outfielder, marking the second All-Region selection of her career after earning Second Team recognition in 2023. The senior from Downey, California, played a key role in Pacific Lutheran capturing its first Northwest Conference regular-season title since 2003.
Garcia also etched her name into the program record book this season, setting single-season records in RBIs (63), total bases (119) and hits (71).
Pacific Lutheran concluded the regular season as Northwest Conference champions with a 35-10 overall record and a 24-4 mark in conference play. The Lutes also earned an at-large berth into the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time since winning the national championship in 2012.
