Biography

2016: Was awarded Second Team Scholar All-American honors as well as Second Team CoSIDA Academic All-American. Was also awarded Second Team All-American by NSCAA. Was the Northwest Conference’s Defensive Player of the Year and received First Team All-Region honors. Appeared in all 21 matches for the Lutes at keeper, starting all of them. Only allowed seven goals on the season while recording 65 saves. Had 16 shutouts on the season which places her third all-time in PLU history for a single season. Broke the record for minutes played in a career for PLU women’s soccer with 6,375. Also placed in the Top-10 career records for shutouts, goal against average and saves. 

2015: Played and started in 20 matches for the Lutes. Led the Northwest Conference in saves with 94 while collecting 13 shutouts. Owned a .913 save percentage, logging 1,844 minutes in net while owning a 15-3-2 record. Named First Team All-NWC, First Team CoSIDA Academic All-District 8, and Third Team CoSIDA Academic All-American.

2014: Played and started in 19 matches for the Lutes. Logged 1,729 minutes between the posts, collecting 62 saves and 10 shutouts. Owned a 12-5-1 record in goal with a 0.47 goals against average. Earned NWC Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-NWC and First Team NSCAA All-West Region honors.

2013: Appeared in 16 matches for the Lutes. Logged 822 minutes in goal, sporting a 0.66 goals against average with a 4-1-4 record. Tallied 48 saves and led the team with a .889 save percentage.

High School: Was a four-year soccer letterwinner and a three-time soccer team MVP. Secured All-League accolades all four years for the Knights while also earning two letters as a member of the basketball team. 

Personal: Born on November 27, 1994 to Jeff and Laurie. Sister to University of Washington baseball player Trevor. Hopes of working in the ER. Mitsui is a National Honor Society member. Considers winning state championship with her club team Crossfire to be her most memorable athletic achievement. Away from academics and athletics, hobbies include running and being outdoors.
