ORANGE, Calif. - Pacific Lutheran ended its four-match Southern California spring break trip with an 8-1 loss to Chapman on Wednesday afternoon.
PLU finished 1-3 on the trip and is now 5-7 for the season. The Panthers ended a three-match losing streak to Top 30 ranked teams and are now 6-7 this season.
The only Pacific Lutheran win came at No. 3 doubles where Spencer Herron and Reed Gunstone teamed up to defeat Andre Herd and Kevin Smyth by an 8-5 score. Zack AhYat and Taylor Dickey battled at No. 1 doubles before dropping an 8-6 decision to Dylan Tevlin and Alex Klein.
Chapman won all six singles matches in straight sets.
