SPOKANE, Wash. - Men's tennis began their last weekend of competition with a 9-0 loss to Whitworth in Eastern Washington.
The Lutes couldn't find a win this afternoon with the closest match at 5-8 in one
doubles. James Okubo and Alberto Leal forced their opponents to extra points, going
back and forth before eventually losing by three.
At one singles, Okubo took a 6-1, 6-0 loss. At two, Noel Oteng-Mensah lost 6-0, 6-3
and at three, Jeremy Marsh lost 6-1, 6-0.
From there, the Lutes couldn't find a groove and the Pirates weren't giving up any
points. The Pirates swept through the afternoon, not dropping more than three games in any match.
Men's tennis will finish their conference season tomorrow morning
against Whitman College at 10:30 a.m.
