Box Score SPOKANE, Wash. – Whitworth University limited Pacific Lutheran women's basketball to 32.1 percent shooting for the game as the Lutes fall 81 –57 in Spokane.
The Lutes fall to 4-4 (11-5 overall) rushed out to a 15-13 lead early but the Pirates (4-4 NWC) battled back, taking a 44-23 advantage at the halftime break. Whitworth would play with a lead the entire second half en route to the 24- point win.
"This road trip has exposed some things we need to improve on," said Head Coach
Jennifer Childress. "Whitworth played a great game and we didn't match their intensity."
Madison Salisbury and
MacKenzie Cooper led the Lutes with 12 points each, while
Kristin Sturdivan and
Anna Hurd each finished with six rebounds on the night.
