WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The PLU women's soccer team has played 10 matches against Northwest Conference competition this season and has walked away victorious after every single one. On Sunday, the Lutes blanked Whitman College for their 11
th straight victory overall and fourth straight shutout.

Both of PLU's goals came in the first half as junior
Maddie Landreth scored her second goal of the season in the 13
th minute.
Savannah Brown added the second tally just 71 seconds before halftime on a pass from
Danielle Lisk. It was Brown's first goal of the 2019 season.
The Lute defense, which ranks in the top five in the country in goals against average and shutout percentage, lived up to the billing again on Sunday.
Cassidy Crosswhite made five saves on the afternoon for her second shutout of the weekend. It was the fourth consecutive shutout by the PLU defense and 11
th of the season.
The PLU winning streak, which reached 11 matches with Sunday's win, is just one shy of the school record. The Lutes won 12 straight matches in 1987, 1988 and 1992. PLU won the NAIA national title in 1988 and finished second in the country in 1992.
With two more goals on Sunday, the Lutes have now outscored NWC opponents by an incredible 23-1 margin. The Lutes remained five points ahead of the University of Puget Sound for the top spot in the NWC race.
PLU (12-1-1, 10-0-0 NWC) will return to East Field next weekend when they take on Lewis & Clark College on Saturday and Pacific University on Sunday. Both matches are scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. kickoff.
