TACOMA, Wash. – Senior point guard Emma Janousek was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District Team on Thursday morning for her outstanding play on the court and performance in the classroom.

One of just two seniors on the team, Janousek leads the Lutes with a 13.8 points per game scoring average.  She also leads PLU in minutes played (31.4), assists (4.8) and steals (2.9).  Janousek leads the Northwest Conference in both steals and assists, while ranking third in the league in free throws made (99). 
 
In the classroom, the Arlington, Wash. Native recently graduated with a degree in biology and did so with a 3.99 grade-point average. 
 
First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot.  First-, second- and third-team (if applicable) Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-March. 
 
The Lutes head into the final weekend of the regular season tomorrow when they travel to Pacific University for a 6:00 p.m. tipoff.  PLU closes the 2019-20 season on Saturday at Lewis and Clark College at 4:00 p.m.
