TACOMA, Wash. -Â The Pacific Lutheran University men's tennis team will welcome the Community College of Spokane to Sprinker Recreation Center this weekend for a non-conference matchup.
Â
The Lutes are coming off a dominant 8-1 win against the University of Puget Sound. The team swept the Loggers in singles matchups and came away with victories at both No.1 and No.2 doubles.
Â
Â
Playing at No.1 singles last weekend was Olympia native,
Ryan Adams. Adams competed in the 2016-2017 season for the Lutes and earned Second Team All-NWC honors. He makes his return to the team this season. We talked with Adams about his role on the team as well as this weekend's match.
Â
"My role is a motivator/leader, helping guys with their strokes and motivating them when down. Last weekend was successful because we all played without nerves... we've been practicing that. A successful performance looks like practice. Because if you practice like the real deal then you are doing really well in controlling yourself"
Â
Adams and the 2-0 Lutes will look to build off of their hot start to the season with action beginning at 12:30 pm on Saturday.
