Derek Stone collected an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles for the Lutes' (1-0) lone victory in doubles.Â

Pacific Lutheran would more than make up for that in singles action, prevailing at the No. 2, No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6 positions to seal the win.Â

Michael Campbell rallied to gut out a, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, win at No. 2 while Pers Eliasson rolled 6-0, 6-1, at the No. 3 position. Stone collected a, 7-6, 6-4, decision at No. 5 with
Alex Richter netting a 6-0, 7-5 victory at No. 6.Â

"This was a great first match of the season," said Head Coach
John Campbell. "The guys all showed up and played and competed well. Hampus played the best match of his career in a near flawless match. Alex. also played his best match to get his first PLU win. Michael pulled out a long three-set win and Derek closed out the team match with a comeback win after falling behind 4-1!"
